Just Christmas and Birthdayscards #39

Amanda has made a great sketch this week over on JCBC. Here is my christmascard.

Close-up of the tree on the left side.

This post is made before I left on holidays. I'm still on vacation and will not post any new cards the next three weeks. Sorry for that, but I will not have the posibility to use internet.

Summery birthdaycard

This is a birthdaycard for a special brother-in-law. His birthday is coming up soon. The sailboat image is a stamp I borrowed from a friend. I have coloured it using colour pencils. Corners are a stamp from Lissie Design. Lace, ribbon and dew drops from stash.
Insides with spellbinders' scalloped circles. I've put a drop of glitterglue in between the bows. Text stamp from Kort i hodet "Have a nice day!"

Personal stamp from Scrapmagasinet.
------------------------------------------------

Today I have to pack up all my things before I leave on holidays. We are travelling by car with both the dogs and the guinnea pig. We have planned to go to Norway's highest mountain, Galdhøpiggen (2469 meters), and I cross my fingers that we'll have nice weather this day. Apart from that we have decided to visit both my parents-in-law and my mother.

Have a great summer everyone. If I get the chance to be on the internet I'll post something, but if not I won't be back until the end of this month.

Wedding card

A wedding card for a customer. I really had a hard time making this card. The customer wanted the special shape on her card (I had made one for her before so she knew what I was capable of making :)) She wanted something summery and romantic since the wedding will be later this month.

I've used a stamp from Kort & Godt Hobby (image) and then embossed it in black. The text (from KH Design) is also embossed. The names and the date are made by using a QuicKutz alphabet. The flowers are stamps from Magnolia which I have coloured with Twinkling H20 and cut out. Some of them are put on 3D-foam pads to stand out a little.
This is how the card looks like from the side when it's folded.

And this is the card folded out.
The upper left panel has a lace with hearts. I've put some pearl flowers on it and a ribbon with a golden charm.

The upper right panels are covered with a text saying "When to hearts meet a star is lit which shows the way to happiness". The hearts are put on 3D pads and covered with diamond glaze. The rings and the text "Happiness" is embossed both in gold and black. More cut-out flowers.

Lower left panels are decorated with a frame (stamp from Papirdesign) with QuicKutz letters in gold and green. The tickets are a stamp from KH Design and says "Real love lasts forever".

On the last panel I've put a white paper for my customer to write something herself. The corner swirls are a stamp from KH Design. I've coloured in using a gold gel pen.

The back is covered with lace which I have sprayed with pink Glimmer Mist.

I just saw that Sukkersøtt has a perfect challenge for me to participate in with this card, Wedding projects, challenge #46.

I hope you alle will have a great day. I am really hot here I'm sitting. I'm sure it's as hot inside my office as outdoors, which meens it's about 30 degrees. Sweat is running down my back (and some other places too :) ).

Bye for now!

Christmascard - JCBC #38

Finally, my christmascard using this week's sketch on Just Christmascard and Birthdaycard. I love this cute angel, I think it's from Anita's. I've coloured it with Twinkling H20. The ticket (text) is from KH Design, I have sprayed it with some glimmer mist. Papers from DCWV. Insides with text from Stempelglede.
The paper on the back was so nice with the candy cane so I had to place my personal stamp a bit on the side.

It was fun to make some round cards. Thanks for the sketch, Janina!
-------------------------------------------------

We are melting over here today. It's around 30 degrees and for me that is way to hot!! I could need an airconditioner now.
Don't forget my blogoversary candy. Tomorrow I'll announce the winner but if you haven't join you still have some time to do so!
Hugs, Kristin :)

Birthdaycard - JCBC #38

Janina has made a super sketch over on JCBC this week. Please join us with one of your lovely creations :)

I have made a birthdaycard using an image stamp from hÄnglar & stÄnglar. I've coloured it with Twinkling H20 so it is shining. The papers are from Basic Grey (the pink one) and some I bought in a store called Nille. Cardstock is Bazzill Corduroy. Buttons are bought in Croatia :) Swirl/Branch stamp from a set I bought in Panduro. Ticket is from KH Design (text says "Because you deserve it!")
Insides with a text on the left side saying "Birthdays are there to be enjoyed. Have a great time!" I have sprayed some Sherbet Glimmer Mist on the white papers.

The back with my personal stamp. I have also sprayed some glimmer mist here. :)

I have some problems with my access to Blogger for the time being. I will sometimes get kicked out with the message that it will close down, other times it won't open anything from Blogger, and then suddenly other times I can access without problems. Today I was lucky to access my account so I could post this.
Because of these troubles I am not visiting any blogs now. I have really tried to visit all of you who have left me comments, but since I'm kicked out of Blogger frequently and I haven't had much time to wait for better times, I have just read your comments on my e-mail account. Sorry for this. I promise I will get back later.
I will leave on my holidays soon and I'm really looking forward to that. The sad thing is that I can't bring any crafty things. We are bringing two dogs and a guinnea pig so the car will be packed. No room left for anything. Well, I might bring some painting and some images so I at least can paint something.
Have a great day. We have a very hot day in front of us here and I feel like I'm melting.
Hugs, Kristin :)

Birthdaycard with butterflies

Another card using GD Anne's lovely sketch over on Just Christmas and Birthdaycards.

The image was in a blog candy I won from Karin. The lace was white but I sprayed a lot of sapphire Glimmer Mist on it to make it blue. The butterflies also got a spray with pearl Glimmer Mist. I embossed the text in black.
I love these butterflies from QuicKutz. The white paper is sprayed with... yeah, Glimmer Mist!!

Butterflies even on the back! This time I decorated them with glitterglue.

Thanks for looking. Don't forget my blog candy.

Art Pieces - Magic

I have really been thinking about the theme for this Art Piece challenge a long time now. Today, when I looked through my stamps to find something that could remind me of magic I came upon this frog/toad stamp (Art Impression) and then the light-bulb turned on over my head. *smiling* I found one of my many crown-stamps and started to make these ATCs about the frog that turned into a prince!! Now, that's magic!!

I made the background on aquarelle-paper. I have used Distress Inks and Twinkling H20 and Glimmer Mist. Then stamped the frog, the crown and the splatter with Distress Ink. I cut out one frog and put it on 3D foam on one of the ATCs and I stamped a crown on cardstock and cut it out and put some 3D foam underneath on the other ATC. Et voilá, my magic is complete :)

From frog (toad) to prince!

Thanks for looking. This is all for now.

Please join my blogoversary candy, there's still some time left :)
Hugs, Kristin :)

Christmascard in June

There's a lovely sketch over on Just Christmas and Birthdaycards today. Our Guest Designer Anne has made an easy sketch to work with. Pop over to join us with a card or two.

It's my time to make a christmascard again this week. I've used the lovely stamp from Whiff of Joy with Charlotte and cat. I've coloured the image with Twinkling H20 so it's shining :) I cut out the image and put some 3D foam under to make it stand out from the rest of the card. I've used some Glimmer mist on the pieces behind the scalloped oval. The text is embossed both in white and black (unfortunately the flash is shining so you can't see it properly). The red "ribbons" in the corners are made with my EK Success border punch and decorated with some glitterglue.
I've sprayed the insides with Glimmer mist to make it shine. If you click on the picture you might see it.

Recipe:
Stamps: Whiff of Joy - Charlotte and cat; Norsk Stempelblad - texts on front and inside.
Papers: DCWV - background paper (from christmas stack); Cardstock - avalanche (white)
Others: EK Success - border punch; glimmer mist; white brads; glitter glue (pearl); Twinkling H20; white and black embossing powder; Spellbinder dies
---------------------------------------------------

Gee, this week-end just disappeared in the blue. I managed to make almost two cards. I had planned to do so many things but the time just wasn't on my side. Today it's back to work!
The sun has decided to shine for us today and the temperature is nice. I hope you all will have a great day. Don't forget to join my blog candy if you haven't already.
Hugs, Kristin :)

Paperbag-card and a blog candy coming up

Yuhu! Congratulations to me!! I have my blogoversary today!! 2 years I've been blogging now, and I'v written nearly 400 posts (398 to be exact). And the best part is that you can come celebrate me tomorrow!!! I've made a blog candy, but I just need to collect the goodies and take a picture of them. I'll show you tomorrow. Be patient and come back then.

But don't leave until you've seen my latest creation. I had a crop in my shop yesterday and I made a paperbag-card. It's supposed to look like a back-pack, but I'm not sure if I succeeded. I had some great help from both Marte and Mona (tusen takk, kjære venner!) as they gave me some ideas and some small but neccessary supplies for the back-pack. :)

The front. You can lift the upper flap, it's closed with a small magnet.

Recipe:
Stamps: Tim Holtz - bird on branch, weeds/straws
Papers: 7Gypsies - stripey paper
Others: Ribbon from Mona's stash; "Hinges" from Martes stash; Printed words and sentiments
------------------------------------------------

My oldest son is giving this "back-pack" to his teacher today. It's filled with peanuts/raisin-mix, and a couple of chocolates (Freia Melkesjokolade & Kvikk-Lunsj). This is snack that is very good to bring on a hike and to have as extra "fuel". This special teacher loves hiking and that's why I made a "back-pack" and this type of snack is what he has let his pupils bring on trips like hiking in the woods, ski-trips, field-trips. It's kind of a "joke" between him and his pupils.

Before you all leave my blog I want to let you know that Aud Kirsten has a great blog candy. Pop over to her blog to see what you can win. And when you're there please look at her super creations as well.
Thanks for looking, and don't forget to come back tomorrow!
Hugs, Kristin :)

Get well - card

It seems like accidents run in the family for the time being. My nephew broke his thigh bone (femur) last week and has been in hospital. I think he is back home now, but has to be very careful the next weeks.

I've bought him a little something and made him this 'Get well'-card. The letters are stickers and spell 'Get well, Leo'. I love these Magnolia stamps which I have masked to make them look as if he is sitting on the bench.
Close-up of the boy. He's got glitter on his wings.

I've put some dew-drops on the corners/edges as the only embellishment.

The text on the inside says: "Sending you some sunshine, laughter and a smile :)"

Recipe:
Stamps: Magnolia - Edwin, bench; Lissie Design - corner; Ditten & Datten - text (inside); Scrapmagasinet - personal stamp
Papers: Basic Grey - background; Bazzill Corduroy - green and blue cardstock; Cardstock - light blue cardstock
Others: Cuttlebug - embossing folder; Sandylion - alphabet stickers; dew-drops from stash; Distress Inks
----------------------------------------------------

Rain, rain, rain. Boring weather, but fortunately it is good for my outdoor plants. I forgot to water my flowers outdoor and yesterday they hung their heads. Hopefully they will get better again soon :)

Tomorrow my sons and husband will go on a week-end trip with the boys' school band. They will go to Lisseberg near Gothenberg in Sweden. For those of you who doesn't know what Lisseberg is; it's a big amuzementpark. I've never been there myself and I'm not the lucky one this time either. I have to stay home because of the dogs and the guinnea pig. But to be honest, I'm not that keen on carrousels any more.
Have a great day. Thanks for looking!
Hugs, Kristin :)

Boys' birthdaycards

Two almost similar cards. Actually the only difference is the letter on the front. These cards were given to two twin boys. My youngest son went to their birthdayparty on Sunday and I had to finish up these cards in a hurry. I didn't have the time to find something creative to do with the back so it's really simple. The paper I've used on the background on the front of the card is a scrap I received from a friend of mine. I used the whole piece on these cards.

I've made these cards with Vanessa's sketch #33 on JCBC. That's right, another old sketch!

The label on the left side is a pocket. There's an opening on the upper right side so we could put some money in there.

Recipe:
Stamps: Magnolia - Edwin with balloon; Ditten & Datten - text on front; Else Irene Mehling - text on inside
Papers: Unknown - blue cardstock, green cardstock, design paper
Others: Colour pencils; Grungeboard letters; Distress Inks; Cuttlebug embossing folder
---------------------------------------------------

Yesterday I went to the celebration of the 7th-graders on my boys' school. The children had made a show for us and there was speaches and the whole evening was so nice. I took some pictures and I'll make a LO about this for my son. He'll be a confirmand in two years time and I think I'll give him some LOs in an album then.

Nothing is happening today, except the regular things. I have to do some laundry and I'll finish up a card and I might even start a new mini-album for someone special.
That's all for today, folks. The sun is shining and I feel good! Life's good! :) Thanks for looking.
Hugs, Kristin :)

Just Christmas and Birthdaycards #36 again

I promised to show you my christmascard using Mada's lovely sketch #36 (JCBC), and here it is. I turned it to the other side this time, and I've decorated the edges of the papers with some swirls from Stempelglede. The text is embossed with black embossingpowder.
The leftovers from the triangle on the front are used to decorate the insides.

Recipe:
Stamps: Magnolia - Edwin with sack; Stempelglede - swirls; Norsk Stempelblad - text (on front); Papirglede - text (inside); Scrapmagasinet - personal stamp
Papers: Papirglede - beige with snowcrystals; Papirdesign - red/white checked
Others: Gems from stash; Black embossingpowder; Twinkling H20; Distress Inks; Glitterglue
-----------------------------------------------------

I hope your day will be a good one. I'm going to a celebration of my oldest son and his classmates. They are leaving primary school this week and they have made a show for the parents tonight. I'm really looking forward to this, and I will have my camera in hand! That reminds me that I have to recharge the batteries of my videocamera. I have to record such an event!
Thanks for looking!
Hugs, Kristin :)

Just Christmas and Birthdaycards #36

On Just Christmas and Birthdaycards today you can try out Mada's lovely sketch. I have turned it sideways to make it fit my image.

Since this card has a triangle on it I'll enter it on Allsorts Challenge Blog this week. The challenge over there is 'Triangles'!
I've used the scraps from making the triangle on the front to decorate the insides.

Receipe:
Stamps: Stempelglede - swirls, branches; Ditten & Datten - text; Scrapmagasinet - personal stamp; Whiff of Joy - Melinda reading book
Papers: Doodlebug Design - striped paper; Unknown - green paper; Bazzill Bling - dark green cardstock
Others: Gems from stash; Fiskars borderpunch; Spellbinders dies; Black embossingpowder; Distress Ink pads; DCWV - rub-ons
--------------------------------------------------

Monday morning and the sun is shining. I've walked my dogs and it was so nice to do that in the sun. I've become quite addicted to my morning walks now and I must say I can feel my mood improving when I come home after these walks. On the days when the sun shines I can feel my mood improve even more!! An extra bonus!!

Have a great start of your new week, and thanks for visiting my blog (again). Please come back tomorrow, then I'll show you how my christmascard using Mada's sketch turned out. ;)
Hugs, Kristin :)
