Invitation and placecard

I made this invitation and placecard for a customer. She wanted something for a New year's eve-party.

I have used a giftwrapping-paper as background on both the card and the placecard. It is silver and black but it doesn't show well on the photo. The clock is illustrating the change from the old year to the new year :) It's a stamp from Magnolia's christmas clubkit. It was a hazzle to cut out, but I only had to make four invitations so I thought it was okey. The champagnebottle is a stamp from KH Design. The champagnebottle is a stamp from Magnolia's summer clubkit. The text is a stamp from Ditten & Datten. I have made some cards for a Christmas bazaar my boys' school band is arrangeing tomorrow. I'll show them to you later. I have some troubles with my back and shoulder/arm so I can't sit by the computer as much as I would love to.

I hope you all have a nice day.

Hugs, Kristin :)

Awards

I am one lucky person who has people out there thinking of me and my blog. I love receiving awards and I always try to post them on my blog as soon as I get them. Still, sometimes I'm just to busy to post them right away and then I have problems remembering them. Not that I forget I got an award or from who I got the award, but I forget when I got it.

Some days ago sweet Desiree gave me this award. Thank you sooooo much! I love your blog, so I am honoured to receive this from you!
These are the rules:
1. The winner can put the logo on her/his blog.
2. Link the person you received your award from.
3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs.
4. Put links of those blogs on yours.
5. Leave a message on the blogs of the girls/boys you’ve nominated.

Almost everyone has received this award, but why not honour some of them an extra time? I still love their blogs :) I want to give the award to Bente, Beate, Heidi, Linda, Karin, Jacqui, and last but not least Kate. Thank you, ladies, for sharing your blogs with the rest of us!

I have also another award to show you. Thank you, Camilla and Hanne, for giving me this lovely award!! I am so happy to have received it :) It means a lot to me!

This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.
This is a beauty of an award and I am proud to be able to give it to the following persons; Marte, Aud, Vanessa, Katharina, Heather, Dorte, Elsi, and the very own Anita.
Thanks for looking everyone! Enjoy the day!
Hugs, Kristin :)

Just Christmas and Birthdaycards #8

I am soooo late posting my card over at Just Christmas and Birthdaycards this morning. I was busy almost all yesterday, but in between everything I tried to make a DT-card. I was sitting in front of the TV quite late at night, trying to finish up my card and sipping a cup hot chocolate at the same time. I was almost done with my card when the accident happen!! I spilled some hot chocolate on my card!! Crisis!! I was not very creative at the moment as I was very tired, so I had to finish up the card today. I didn't want to throw the whole card in the bin so I tried to save it by covering up the spill-marks.

I think I have managed to make an okey card with Janina's (Ninchen) sketch. It is made with papers from my box with leftover-papers. The colours are quite pale (lilac and pink), but I was in that mood when I made it. The image is coloured in using Twinkling H20. The photocorners and letters are made with QuicKutz dies. I punched out some retroflowers and put glitterglue in the middle.Inside I have decorated an insert-sheet with a corner stamp from Prima.
I made the back really simple with my personal stamp from Papirgleder.

I haven't had the time to make my christmascard with the sketch yet. I have to wait some days as I have a couple of orders from customers to make first. But I'll post my card as soon as I have it ready :)

Now I hope you all are doing well. It seems like everyone are busy nowadays and that there are many people staying at home sick. Take care all of you!!

Hugs, Kristin :)

Christmastcard and friendshipcard in one

A customer ordered a combined friendshipcard and christmascard. She saw a card in my shop wich had a tag and lot of ribbons on and then I had to copy those details. Still, I'm not the kind of person who copys a card, but I can be inspired by it. This is my new card.

Tag, with christmas-wishes.
Inside, another tag.

This is how the tag looks.
The back!
I am not in the mood for writing a lot about my card right now. If you have any questions please contact me :)
Have a nice day!

Sukkersøtt #16

This week's Sukkersøtt challenge has the theme "Something sweet". It can be anything!

I have made a circular envelope card for a customer. The lady who ordered the card wanted something with autumn colours, and she wanted this special type of card. The card is for a lady who turns 60 and is a woman who likes to go hiking in the mountain, and go skiing, she has a dog she likes a lot, and she is a very good friend.

The front, with the ribbon which holds the card closed. I have used a leaf punch, the ribbon is from American Crafts, cardstock from Cardstock, QuicKutz alphabet Sophisticated, designpaper from Papirdesign. The front without the ribbon.
When you open the card it will look like this:
Inside the card is decorated using the same dp as on front and a second one from Papirdesign as well. The ticket stamps are all from KH Design. Textstamps (middle and bottom) are from Papirgleder. The girl is from hÄnglar & stÄnglar, the dog and the tree (on the right) from Magnolia, the hikingboots from Kort & Godt Hobby. Tree and skis are from QuicKutz. Ribbon from American Crafts. Flowers from Prima. Pearls and gems from my stash. I have put some glitterglue here and there, that's why it's shining.
The back with my personal stamp from Papirgleder.
And now I'm sure you ask yourself "What's sweet here?". The girl, of course!! She is so cute with the flower in her hand!! At least I think so :)
I have played with the things Kristine tought us in one of her Photoshop tutorials, making a blurry frame around the picture. It looks so good, don't you think?!
I have had some busy days lately. Not much time to sit in front of the computer. My eldest son turned 12 on Wednesday. He didn't have a party, just a cousin and our family. But still I had to bake a cake. It does take some extra time out of my schedule :)
Have a nice day. Thanks for looking! And I would love it if you left me a comment :)
Hugs, Kristin :)

Kristine's tutorials

Kristine has a great tutorial going on in her blog. She is explaining how to do different things in Photoshop. I have tried to do all her tutorials so far, but I must say I struggeled a lot with her second one. Even though I have done all the things Kristine told us to do I just couldnt get that frame on my picture. But then I did some changes after first following Kristine's tutorial and look what I got.... ...A FRAME on my picture!!! Isn't that coooool!!! Thank you, Kristine, for teaching us this!! ♥♥♥

Just Christmas and Birthdaycards #7

It's Monday and time for another sketch over at Just Christmas and Birthdaycards. This time it's Mada who has made the sketch. It was a wonderful sketch to work after.

I have used the lovely stamp from Sugar Nellie called "Santa with lantern". I fell in love with it and it just asked to be mine when I visited Sugar Nellie. It was fun to colour in, using Distress Ink. I have put some glitter on the white details on Santa's clothes and on the light in the lantern. The text is a stamp from Papirloftet. Designpapers from Papirdesign. Ribbon from stash. I have doodled a frame around the image. Insides. The little textstamp was a gift from my sister some years back.
Back with personalstamp from Scrapmagasinet.

My birthdaycard is made with a Penny Black stamp. I coloured in using Distress Ink. The text is a stamp from Else Irene Mehling. Designpapers unknown. Prima-flowers (gift from Karin).
I have made the inside easy by putting an extra sheet inside. I have used a corner stamp from Prima.
Really simple back with just a personal stamp from Scrapmagasinet.
I have decided to try and make my cards simpler on the inside and the back. It does take a bit longer time to make something on all the sides and now I have to make so many cards in one go that I haven't got the time to do so. But still I want to do something. That's why I want to put the decorated sheet inside. I used to do this a lot before, but it seems like I just have forgotten it. Then I received a beautiful card from Vanessa where she had done this and I suddenly remembered what I used to do :)
Well, that's my two cards for the challenge. I hope you'll get some inspiration to give it a go yourself. Have a nice day!!
Hugs, Kristin :)

Sukkersøtt #15

Yuhuu!! I can actually show you my card for this week's Sukkersøtt challenge one day before it closes!!! I feel I have been late for every challenge lately, but not this time!!

I love my new stamp from Stampavie designed by Sarah Kay. It's such a cozy image that it needed cozy and oldfashioned papers so I used two designpapers from 3ndypapir. I have kind of changed a tiny bit on the sketch (which Anita made for this week's challenge), but I think it is recognizable anyhow! Since I put the three big snowflakes on the side there was no space for the text below them, so I had to move it to the left, under the image. The snowflakes are a stamp from Papirgleder, and I have covered them with glitterglue. I have stamped a small snowflake around the edges of the papers. The text is a rub-on from Norsk Stempelblad. Insides:
The back. I have used a snowflake stamp from Papirgleder and cut them out. I have put a bit of glitterglue in the middle of all the snowflakes. "Handmade by" stamp from Ditten & Datten.
Today I'm having a day off from work. It's so nice to have the time to relax at home. Except I have to do a lot of housework, and I have even brought some paperwork home from work so I am not going to sit here and twiddle my thumbs :)
I had a fight with my eldest son right before the boys went to school this morning. He has grown so much that he is my size in shoes, and since he has outgrown his own wintershoes I thougt he could use mine. But, they have laces!! He hate to tie the laces. On his sneakers he always tie them once when they are new, and the rest of the time he just puts his feet in and out of the shoes without untieing them. On my wintershoes he has to open the laces everytime he wants to take the shoes on or off. He was so furious that I made him try those stupid shoes on right before he went to school, and he ended up walking out the door in his rubberboots, and outside it is minus 3 degrees Celsius!! Well, I have to take him out shopping for new wintershoes one of these days now. I just hate shopping!!
I want to remind you that I am updating my blog candy alert-list on the top of my sidebar (to the right). Check out all the great giveaways around in blogland. :)
Now I have to work, so thanks for looking and I hope you'll have a great day where you are! I will be glad if you drop me some lines :)
Hugs, Kristin :)

Whiff of Joy Challenges - #7

It's incredible that we have had so many weeks with Whiff of Joy Challenges that we have come to week 7 already!

This time we were asked to follow Heather's beautiful sketch. It was a breeze to use it!

I have used happy Charlie building a snowman. I love this stamp! All the papers are from DCWV's glittered Christmas stack. Except the red one behind the image and the sentiment which is something my husband brought home from South-Korea when he visited last year. The sentiment is a stamp from Stempelglede. Flowers from Prima, and all gems from Doodlebug Design. Insides with same papers as on front. The snowflake is a stamp from Papirgleder.
Back with same papers as on front. The handmade by stamp is from Ditten & Datten.

It's not often I am able to finish up two cards a day, but today I have been really good!! :) But then again, I haven't done anything of all the things I should have done yet. I have to work hard now to get some of the tasks done before I go home :)

Ta-ra for now! Thanks for looking :)

Hugs, Kristin :)

ABC Challenge - P is for Pink

I must apologize for the bad photos. The flash has really made the card shine! But I hope you can see through all the flare :)

This weeks challenge for ABC Challenge is P for Pink. And I have made a card for my niece. If you can see the background through the flare you can see balloons with the number seven in them. The whole background is made up of stamps from Norsk Stempelblad (numbers from Panduro). The image is from Cuddly Buddly (Thanks a lot, Dorte!!). She is coloured with Distress Ink and Twinkling H20. The text is a stamp from Aud Design, frame from 7Gypsies. All flowers I won in a blog candy giveaway in Karin's blog (Thank you!!) The ribbon is from my stash. On the left side I have used a stamp from Else Irene Mehling. The scalloped circle is a cookie cutter from QuicKutz. The cornerstamp on the right side is from Prima Marketing.
Paper and ribbon as on front. The star is something I received from Karin again :) Personal stamp from Scrapmagasinet.
Thanks for looking! Hope you'll have a nice day!
Hugs, Kristin :)

Tag You're It!

This is my first entry for Tag you're it! The theme this week is "Tic-Toc!"

I've been playing around with two clock-stamps (from KH Design) in different sizes. I have masked a lot to make it look like a heap of clocks. The clock in front is cut out and put on foampads. The text is from Norsk Stempelblad, and it translates "Life isn't measured in how many times we breathe, but in how many moments which takes our breath!"

Have a really nice evening!

Hugs, Kristin :)

Just Christmas and Birthdaycards #6

Today we have a new sketch for you over at Just christmas and birthdaycards challenge blog. This time it's a great sketch from lovely Simone!!

I really wasn't up for making a card when I sat down to make this. I started early but ended up having to create something in a hurry. I just couldn't find anything creative to do with the dps and image I had chosen, and I didn't have the time to find something else. So here it is. With image from Cuddly Buddly (kindly given to me by Dorte!!!) I have coloured in using Distress Ink. I have put some glitterglue here and there. Designpapers from Bo Bunny and unknown. The cute flowers were kindly given to me by Hege-Annie!!! The text stamp is from Aud Design!
Insides, decorated with a frame stamp from Stampavie (designed by Rachelle Anne Miller), text stamp from Else Irene Mehling. The flowers on the right side is in the same package as the framestamp. I have coloured in using Distress Ink.The back was made in a hurry as well. Nothing really creative here! :)
Well, that's it for now. Have a nice day!
Hugs, Kristin :)

Birthdaycard

My mother-in-law ordered a card for her cousin turning 70. She wanted something with happy colours. This is what I came up with.

Image from Penny Black. Coloured in using Distress Ink. Lot of glitterglue on the flowers. Papers from Bo Bunny (I think). Cardstock is Bazzill Corduroy. Letters and numbers are QuicKutz alphabet Metro. Text is a stamp from Norsk Stempelblad.Insides, with textstamp from Norsk Stempelblad. QuicKutz cookiecutter for the scalloped circle. Same dp as on front. The back using same dps as on front. Personalstamp from Scrapmagasinet.

I really hope my m-i-l likes the card! :)

Hope you all have a nice Sunday evening!

Magnolia vs. Stampavie #1 - Sketch it!

I've found a new challenge blog! It's called Magnolia vs. Stampavie. You can use stamps from both Magnolia and Stampavie. That means I can use a lot of the stamps I've got in my stack! I love it!! The sketch for this week is really great, and it was easy to work with!

Here is my result. I had to make a card for a birthdayparty with cardmaking again, and I wanted to use this image by Sarah Kay.

I have coloured in using Distress Ink only. The designpaper is from 3ndypapir. The cardstock is Bazzill Bling. Ribbon from American Crafts. The butterflies are punched out. The flowers are a stamp from Kort&Godt Hobby and are stamped on the dp (the back) and cut out. The text is a stamp from Papirgleder ("Happy Birthday!"). On the left I have punched out a big circle. The text is a stamp from Norsk Stempelblad. On the left I have used dp from 3ndypapir again. Same type of flowers as on front.
The back is made easy. Personal stamp from Scrapmagasinet. Dp from 3ndypapir.
Today is a really gray day here. It's raining a littlebit, and it's a bit chilly. The snow that came over a week ago is almost gone now. Some places it's quite slippery because there is still some ice left on the roads. You have to be careful when you walk when it's like this!
I am so lucky that I've got a husband who loves to make food. It's just that he loves to make special food which takes a lot of time to prepare. Since we haven't got the time for meals that take to much time to prepare during the weekdays he does not make special food a lot. But today he has planned a meal together with a friend, and the wives are not supposed to help!! So when the meal is ready we can just sit down and enjoy the food. Doesn't this sound good?!?! It's like coming to heaven. Nice food, drinks and company without any struggle! Love it!!
Well, I hope you all will have a nice and creative week-end.
Hugs, Kristin :)

Sukkersøtt #14

Fabric, ribbon, lace... That's the challenge this week in the Sukkersøtt-blog. I am late entering my card (as always) but not to late!!

I have used one of my favourite fabrics from my stash. I have been an avid patchworker/quilter and have lot of beautiful fabrics I just can't get rid of. I have the hope that I one day will have the time to make something with all of my treasures! :) And look, now I have used a small piece of one of them! And it goes perfectly with my hÄnglar & stÄnglar-stamp "Jon Blund". I have coloured in the image using a mix of Twinkling H20 and Distress Ink. I have cut out the image and put foampads underneath. I have put a lot of shiny stars on the fabric and they blend in with the stars already there, but they are a bit more shiny in real life. The number and letters are QuicKutz-alphabet, punched out from a golden hologram-paper. I have put two layers of Diamond Glaze on top to make them more 3D.

I had this feeling that something was missing on the front of the card, but it wasn't until I cropped the photo that I realized what it was. I have forgotten to distress the edges of the card!! I might go back and do that before I send it to my nephew.Close-up of the letters. You can see the hologram-stars on the golden paper through the diamond glaze layers.
The insides. Designpaper from Karen Foster. Text from Papirgleder. The letters "Leo" are stamped with an clearstamp-alphabet i won in Karin's blog candy during last summer (Thank you, Karin).
The back. The golden star is cut out in the same golden paper as on front. Personal stamp from Scrapmagasinet.

My boys were so happy this morning when they realized that it's Friday! Since it's getting darker every morning now it's also getting harder to get out of bed. But then again, it's strange that on Saturday and Sunday they haven't got any problems getting out of bed at the same time as the rest of the week!! Without me dragging them out!!!

It is warmer today than it has been lately. And it is cloudy and grey. But as long as I don't have to cover up with rainclothes I'm happy!

I hope you all have a nice day! Take care!

Hugs, Kristin :)

Whiff of Joy - Challenge #6

Once again I have made a Christmas-card. The challenge this week over at Whiff of Joy challenges was to use the colours burgundy/red and green. My card is more red than burgundy :) But since that's aloud I'm saved!!

I have used "Charlotte decorating tree" (I must admit I am hopeless at remembering those titles on stamps so just let me know if the title on this stamp is incorrect!) from Whiff of Joy. The text stamp is an old one from Panduro. Flowers from Prima. Gems from Doodlebug Design. Designpaper from DCWV. Cardstock from Bazzill and unknown. I have stamped some snowflakes (from Papirgleder) on the red and green cardstock behind the image. Insides, with the same dp and cardstock and snowflake as on front.
The back with same cardstock and snowflakes as on front. Personalstamp from Scrapmagasinet.
It seems like I'm always late finishing up with almost all of the challenges I'm entering nowadays. It's just that I have all these cards that I have to make (either to give away personaly or to sell to costumers) and then I try to make all the challenges work for those cards on my list. It seems like my list is never getting any shorter even though I'm making a lot of cards now! And inbetween all this cardmaking I have to do all those boring everyday things :P
But, now I have to hurry up to enter my card in Whiff of Joy challenges in time!!
Bye-bye!
