Get well - card

A card for my 7 year old niece. She is in hospital with 5 fractures on her skull and a broken elbow. I hope she will be better soon.

I have used Vanessa's great sketch on JCBC to make this card. It isn't a birthdaycard and it isn't a christmascard, but I just wanted to use this sketch anyhow :)

Stamps: Magnolia - Tilda and the Bench (masked), Papirgleder - text on front, Kort & Godt Hobby - text on inside, Aud Design - Leaves (small and big)
Papers: My minds eye - Penny Land, Bloom & Grow
Others: Panduro - flowers, and tag, Unknown - heart brads, Spellbinders - dies, Kort & Godt Hobby - lace
------------------------------------------------
I have been very absent from my blog lately. I haven't been in the mood to make any cards and haven't taken any photos I would love to share with you either. But now I hope you'll enjoy the card for my niece.
Enjoy your week-end.
Hugs, Kristin :)

Brag minialbum for Grandma

This is an album I made for my mother. She turns 71 on Saturday. On the first page I have put the words "Grandma's brag album 2009". I've only used photos of my sons and dogs. I have printed out some describing words to put beside each photo. I decorated using Prima flowers and Rusty Pickles buttons. Papers from Ladybugandfriends. The album's from Scrappers Choice.

----------------------------------------------

I hope the album will please my mum. I've certainly had a great time making it. :)

----------------------------------------------

Today we've had thunder and lightning. My oldest dog hates the thunder and hid under the table where I sat. The youngest dog didn't care about the noise at all :)

I hope you all will have a great evening. Thanks for visiting :)

Rainy day

This is how it looked like outside our house last night. The rain was pouring down and it felt kind of misarable to hear the splashing and dripping on the roof. This picture is taken through my window. I tried to open it to get a better picture, but I had to close it again quickly since it was pouring down, it came in the window.
Fortunately we have a quite nice day today. My son is going on a school-trip with his class and they are riding their bikes. It just isn't fun to get soaked when you have to cycle for almost an hour, and stay outdoors where you're going and then go back home again. So I cross my fingers that the rain isn't coming although I can see the dark clouds up there.
I thank you for your time visiting my blog and hope you'll have a fantastic day where you are.
Hugs, Kristin :)

Scrap Online Challenges

Karin Hoeve is starting another challengeblog, SCRAP ONLINE CHALLENGES. This one is based on the Scrap Online challenges and will contain the same challenge as on Scrap Online on Paper Craft Planet. Not all of us are able to join in the fun online, so this will be the big chance to join in the fun off-line :)

On this challenge blog we will be posting the sketches/ projects we worked on the day after the SOL as a challenge.
You can work on the sketch on your own, but if you want to have all measurements of the different parts you just hop over to the SOL from the night before and scroll down all the comments.

The first challenge was Friday 15th of May. To celebrate the new challengeblog Karin is giving away some candies on her own blog. Please visit her blog Scrap Everything and join in the fun.

Just Christmas and Birthdaycards #32

Stamps: Stampavie (Rachelle Anne Miller) - image, Else Irene Mehling - text (inside), Ditten & Datten - bee stamp (on the back)
Papers: Sandy Lion - butterfly fantasy, Bazzill Bling - pink, purple
Others: Spellbinders
----------------------------------------------
Another Monday, another challenge on Just Christmas and Birthdaycards. Karin has made a super sketch for us to use this week, and I must say it was fun to work with. Please join us! You can win a small prize also this time, so what are you waiting for :)
I have made a simple card using a image I received from my blogging friend Dorte. I chose purple and pink cardstock and papers. The image is coloured using Twinkling H20 and Distress Ink. I haven't put on any other embellishment since the paper is so beautiful.
Yesterday we had a lovely day with sunshine and a blue sky. Today we have rain :( I am so glad that we didn't have this weather yesterday. Marching in a parade in rain just isn't the same as doing it in sunshine!!
Have a great start of the new week. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Constitutionday

Congratulations to all Norwegians!!!!

Today all Norwegians are celebrating that on this day in 1814 we got our own Constitution!
We will walk in parades all over the country. All the children will join in on games and will wave their flags and show off their finest clothes. The adults will wave their flags to greet each other and to show that they are proud to be Norwegians. Even foreigners will join us on this really big day. It's a feast from early morning till late night for everybody.

My sons are playing in the school-band and on this special day they will walk in lot of parades to play for the school-children. My eldest son is playing tuba, my younges son is playing flute. They will have a long day, and I'm sure they'll be so glad when it's over. But I also know they are proud to wear their uniforms and to play their instruments. And I will be soooo proud to be their mum. :)

Have a great day everyone.

Hugs, Kristin :)

A quick card???

Papers: Papirdesign
Others: Flower - Bazzill, Butterfly - Spellbinders
-------------------------------------------------

This could have been a quick card, but I think I have used five days on it. The first idea was finished quickly, but then I had to complete it with some details here and there. Then I ran out of time and then I just didn't feel like completing it. Well, it turned out to be one of my slower cards :)
The only stamp I have used on the card is my personal stamp on the back :)
Hope you all will have a great day.
Hugs, Kristin :)

Award from Vanessa

My dear blogging friend Vanessa gave me this award. I am so happy for it. It means a lot to me receiving an award from someone special. I take it as a token on appreciation.
I am supposed to give it to 5 other bloggers. Hmmm, it's not easy to find only five bloggers that means a lot to me, but here I go:
I could have mentioned a whole bunch of other bloggers as well, but I will limit myself since that's the rule.
Hugs to all of you!
Kristin :)

Criss-cross birthdaycard

Stamps: Aud Design, Else Irene Mehling, Magnolia, Papirdesign
Papers: Doodlebug Design
--------------------------------------------------
Birthdaycard for a boy turning 11. My son is going to a friend's birthdayparty tonight and he didn't have time to make a card himself. These criss-cross cards are quite easy to make so I ended up making one. He can put the money inside with the tag.

Have a great day!

JCBC #30 - Birthdaycard

----------------------------------------------
I am late posting my card for this week's challenge over on JCBC's blog. I haven't been in a cardmaking mood lately so I have really struggled to sit down making a simple card. Such a pitty since I am a DT member for Just Christmas and Birthdaycards. I didn't finish my card for last week's challenge. I started up but weren't able to come up with creative solutions to finish it. I'll show you when I do finish it.

Have a great day!
Hugs, Kristin :)
