Sukkersøtt #13

Hurray! It's Friday! That means a new challenge on Sukkersøtt!

But first I want to show you my entry for Sukkersøtt's challenge #13, which was their last challenge and which ends tonight. The challenge was a faboulus sketch made by Katharina Frei.

I have used stamps from Panduro, designpapers from DCWV, ribbons from my stash. The images are coloured in using Distress Ink. The little tag is a QuicKutz-tag. I have written "Christmasgreetings" on it. Insides, with a text stamp from Ditten & Datten. One of the small Santas from the front is glued to the lower right corner.
The back, with handmade-stamp from Ditten & Datten. Have a nice Halloween-night. Don't forget to come back tomorrow to find out who won my cute blog candy stamp! I'll announce the winner after 12 noon CET.
Hugs, Kristin :)

Award, tagging and blog candy

Today I haven't got a new card to show you, but I have something to 'say' anyway.

When I went for a walk with the dog this morning I stepped outside just when the first snowflakes started to come. During our half an hour of walking it came so much snow that it was about 2 cm on the ground. Now at 9 am, about two hours later, it is more than 10 cm out there!! And it is still snowing!! Brrrrr! My boys were thrilled when they could walk in snow on their way to school!

Swedish Camilla has a blog candy to give away! This is a must to check out for all those Magnolia-lovers. Check it out here. Camilla is making the most beautiful cards so you should check out the rest of her blog as well.

I've been tagged by both Karin and Joanna so I guess I just have to reveal some of those nasty secrets I'm carrying :)

Things I love:
1. I love to cuddle up in my chair with a cup of hot chocolate or tea and a good book to read.
2. I love to relaxe at home with lots of crafting to do.
3. I love to prepare for Christmas.
4. I love to share a good meal with my family and my friends.
5. I love to go for a walk with my family on Sundays.
6. I love to take photos of everything.

Things I don't love:
1. I don't love to plan a dinner or to make dinners at all.
2. I don't love to go skiing.
3. I don't love to put on my swimming costume.
4. I don't love to clean my house, or my office.
5. I don't love to listen to negative persons talking.

Favorite foods/drinks:
1. Chocolate cakes
2. Cappuccino
3. Chicken Tikka Masala
4. Bin 555 (redwine from Australia's Wyndham Estate)
5. Caesar Salad

Songs on your Ipod/Playlist (I haven't got neither an Ipod nor a Playlist):
1. Any song of Katie Mehlua
2. Any song of Norah Jones
3. Any song of Michael Bublé
4. Any song of A-ha
5. Any song at all ;)

And that's it! Phew! It's not easy to write down anything about myself. I'm just me, I haven't really thought about myself!

Now I have to find some persons to ask to tell about themselves. There are so many out there I would love to know more about. But let me see.... well, I think I will tag Heather, Vanessa, Maya and Hanne.

I also received another award! Thank you very much, Hege-Annie!

Since I've already given it away a couple of times before I've decided to give to all of you visiting my blog and who haven't yet got it. So go ahead and grab it!!! You really deserve it, for you make my day when you visit my blog. Specially if you leave a message when you are here, because then I know that you have been here and then I'll visit your blog!!

Have a nice day! I hope you can come to visit my blog soon!

Hugs, Kristin :)

Whiff of Joy - Challenge #5

I have made an untraditional christmas card (for me, anyway) using Heather's sketch. In Whiff of Joy's last challenge we are asked to use this beautiful sketch. My problem was that my chosen image didn't fit the way I wanted it. I rotated the sketch all the way around, I even mirrored it, but still I wasn't satisfied. In the end I just used the sketch how it is, and I guess the result is okey (you see, I don't like that the person in the picture runs out of my card ;) and yes, you can call me weird!). Insides;
The back;

Stamps: Whiff of Joy (Charlie with dog), Ademio (swirl and snowflake), Stempelglede (textstamp), Scrapmagasinet (personal stamp)

Papers: Papirglede (dark blue and light blue snowflakes), unknown (dark brown, dark blue, white cardstock)

Other: Snowflake buttons (unknown)

I hope you all have a nice day. Thanks for visiting!

Hugs, Kristin :)

Just Christmas and Birthdaycards #4

This is the 4th week over at Just Christmas and Birthdaycard. That means we are ready for sketch 4 as well. These are my takes on the sketch. I'm not used to work with so many "layers" on a card so this wasn't the easiest sketch for me. But I am quite satisfied with the results anyhow ;)

On my birthdaycard I have used an image from Cuddly Buddly (which I have received from sweet Dorte!) The text is a stamp from Aud Design. I have coloured in using Twinkling H20. The corner-swirl is a stamp from Making Memory (I think). The designpapers are all from a package I bought at Nille. The cardstock is Bazzill. The ribbon is from American Crafts. The flower-blings are from my stack. The inside is decorated as well. The text is a stamp from Aud Design.
The scalloped circles (all sizes) are cut out using QuicKutz's cookie cutters. Personal stamp from Scrapmagasinet.

My christmascard has an image from Panduro. I have coloured in using Twinkling H20. The papers are all from DCWV's Christmas Stack. I have used two different ribbons from my ribbon-jars. The text is a stamp from Stempelglede. The backing of the image and the other squares are a kind of red foiled cardstock so it's kind of shiny, but it doesn't show here on the picture.
The inside. I have planned to stick a photo on the upper page. I might put on some more embellishment on this page. The lower page has an image from Panduro. It's coloured in using Twinkling H20 again.
The back with scalloped circles and my personal stamp.I really hope everyone has fun using this sketch. And remember, this will build up your stack of both christmascards and birthdaycards.
I hope you'll have a great start of the week!! And don't forget to visit all the other DT's blogs. They sure are some creative women so you'll get some inspiration over there as well!!!
And don't forget to join in on my blog candy giveaway if you haven't already done so.
Ta ta for now!

Just Christmas and Birthdaycards #3

For this weeks challenge at Just Christmas and Birthdaycards it was Linda who made the sketch. And it was a good sketch for me to work with. I have made both a birthdaycard and a christmascard. Even though I'm making birthdaycards for my stack I try to make a card for the persons I know I have to give to in the future. That way I am prepared when that special birthday comes up. Smart, isn't it?

But I must say that this week I had to make a birthdaycard for a customer. She ordered a card for a lady turning 40 and this special birthdaylady is a sheep-enthusiast (she obviously has a lot of sheep). Soooo, then I thought it would be perfect to use this stamp designed by Rachelle Anne Miller. The birthdaylady is not a pink and girlie woman so I used a lot of beige and light brown cardstock and designpapers. I even coloured the sheep with beige/light brown Distress Ink. To make the card a bit more interresting I put on some Prima flowers in a orangeish colour. And a ribbon in a dark redbrownish colour. Under the sheep I have stamped a text using a stamp from Aud Design. The letters and numbers are squeesed out using QuicKutz - Sophisticated alphabet.Inside I have made a scalloped circle using QuicKutz cookiecutter. The textstamp is from KH Design. The same dps as on the front (both from Papirdesign).
I have made two scalloped circles for the back and on one of them I have stamped my personal stamp from Scrapmagasinet.

My christmascard is a very traditional coloured one. I love the typical christmas colours, red/white/green, together.
The image is a stamp from Anita's. I love this cute snowman. I have had it for ages, but I have never used it before. My kids have used it though. The scalloped edge around the image is handdrawn and cut with scissors. I haven't got any cookiecutter big enough for an image this size. The green cardstock is embossed with an embossing folder from QuicKutz. I had to squeese it three times to cover the piece of cardstock I wanted to use ;) The snowflakes are QuicKutz as well and I have put some bling in the middle of each of them. The dp is from Doodlebug Design. Since the text on the dp is in English and I want to send the card to Norwegians I like to put a text in Norwegian on it. But since there was a lot of pattern/letters on it, it was difficult to find a smart way to make it show anyway. I ended up stamping the text (stamp from Panduro) on a piece of vellum, I glued it on the dp and put some red bling on each side to make it show better.
On the inside I have made a pocket on the left side. In there I can put the picture and maybe a letter. The text stamp is from Papirgleder.
On the back I have covered the ribbon with a small piece of the dp (that was the last piece of it :)) I put some more snowflakes and of course my personal stamp.

That's it for today. I hope you all have a nice and creative Saturday.

Hugs, Kristin :)

Penny Black Saturday challenge #19

Good morning!!! It's a rainy autumn morning. Well, it's not raining for the moment, but there's a lot of dark and heavy clouds in the sky, and it was raining all yesterday and last night. But I've had a nice walk with my dog already and I'm so happy because it's Friday!!

My son and his classmates are making a kind of show for the rest of the school today. Since it's United Nations' Day today they are telling everybody about why we need such a day and things like that. My son was a bit upset this morning before he left for school because he was excited. He has to speek in front of the whole school with pupils, teachers and some parents too. I'm of course going up there to look at the show, and I'll bring my camera. I won't miss this!

Yesterday I had a day off from work and it was a very creative day at home. I love it when I can sit down and just let the good feeling creep in :) I managed to complete two whole cards and an ATC!! And I managed to get something done in the house as well.

I'll show you the ATC I made. It's my second ATC ever! I really like to look at the ATCs, but I haven't yet figured out what to use them for and I'm that kind of person you see, that just can't make anything just for fun. It has to be something useful. A card is useful, I'm giving it to someone. But I have to say, I always have to figure out who I'm going to make a card for before I make it.

So when it comes to ATCs I haven't made any but one before. The only reason I made the first one was that I wanted to join a challenge, and the same goes with this ATC. This is my entry for this weeks Penny Black Saturday challenge.

For my ATC I have used a supercute image from Penny Black. I just love this image!! I have written a text on the tag that translates "Friends are like stars. You don't always see them, but you know they are there!" I have decorated with some shiny stars on the sides but it looks almost black on the picture. I have also put some glitterglue all over the designpaper, which is from Rusty Pickle. I hope you all have a nice day. I really appreciate all your comments and thanks to everybody wishing me good luck with the DT job. I do try to come back to all of you leaving a comment here in my blog, but I must say that sometimes there are to few hours in my day.

Oh, and I just have to remind those of you that still haven't joined in on my blog candy giveaway that you still can do so. You find my blog candy posting here.

Friendshipcard, new DT-membership and Eba's blog candy

I was asked to make a card for a girl turning 12. She wanted to have a birthdayparty inviting nine girls and that they could do something fun together. They asked me if I could make a card easy enough for them to make on their own (the mum is not into cardmaking :)). I made this card for them to look at, and then I made ten bags containing all the carton, paperbits and ribbon they needed to make it. Everything was cut to the right size since I didn't want them to use to much time figuring out what to cut to which size (and what if they cut something wrong?!). But they had to cut out the scalloped, brown cardstock on the front (I had already stamped the text onto the right side of the cardstock). The text translates "Life is wonderful with a friend like you!" and is a stamp from Ditten & Datten. The image is a stamp from Stampavie designed by Rachelle Anne Miller. Designpaper from 3ndypapir. Yellow cardstock is Bazzill's Corduroy. On the inside they had to cut out the frame around the text (which was already stamped). And the could draw the fake stitching on the white paper if they'd like.
The "Handstamped by" text was already stamped, so all they had to do was to cut out around the frame.
After the birthdayparty the girl and her mum came to see me. They told me that it had been a huge success. All the invited girls and the birthdaygirl had enjoyd making the card, and they had used 1 1/2 hours to make it!!

I am so glad this turned out well because in two weeks time I am making cards for another birthdayparty. I had planned to make two cards for the new party, but after the feedback from the first party I think I'll end up making only one card. I have to talk with the mum and the new birthdaygirl first :)

I have an announcement to make; I've become a new DT member!! This time for Karin's new challenge blog 'Just Christmas and Birthdaycards'. I'm thrilled to join the rest of the creative ladies in the team. If you want to know more about the team and the challenge blog please look to the right, in my sidebar, I have put links to all the DT's blogs and the challenge blog itself as well.
I wish you all a great autumn day! I have a day off, and will sit in my craftsroom to make some DT cards ;) and a card for a customer. Hopefully I'm able to join some of the challenges into one card (I love it when I manage to do that!)
I want to tell you about a blog candy in Eba's blog. She is giving away a lot of handcrafted goodies from Heklesjappa (which is a shop for lots of crocheted and embroidered things). It ends 1st November.
Ta ta for now!
Ooops! I'll just remind you of my blog candy. You can still enter if you haven't done so already :)

Sukkersøtt #12 and 'new' award

In Sukkersøtt this week we are asked to make something else than a card, but it has to be something for Christmas. I have made tags for my presents.

The first tag is made with a Penny Black stamp. I have embossed it in black, cut it out, and put on some glitterglue in red and green. This is very easy to make. The back. This is a stamp from Panduro. The second tag is made with paper from Papirdesign. First I stamped a tag from Kort & Godt Hobby on the dp. Then I glued it onto cardstock from Bazzill and cut it out. I have stamped some snowflakes from Papirgleder on the dp before I put on an image from Magnolia. I have coloured in Tilda with pencils.

The back. This is a stamp from Ditten & Datten.
The third tag is almost the same as the second one. I have used dp from Ladybug and friends. I have embossed the snowflakes in white. The same Tilda image on top.
The back with stamp from Ditten & Datten.
I always end up having to few tags when I wrap my Christmas-presents. Especially the first tag I made was easy to make, so I guess I have to make up a lot of them.

I received this award from Sara. Thank you very much!! I just jump of joy every time someone thinks of me and my blog!!

I know I'm supposed to give this to six bloggers, but since I got it some days ago I have decided that this time I give the award to Kirsten, Jorunn, Joanna and Dorte. Thank you, ladies, for sharing beautiful things with us on your blogs!!

Have a nice Wednesday everybody. And for those of you who still haven't entered my blog candy, please do so. The draw is still open for entries!

Whiff of Joy - Challenge #4

Yesterday I got some sad news from my "boss" over at Lissie Design. She will soon have to close down her stamp-store and sell out all her rubberstamps due to an allergy against rubber!!! She can't work with anything that has rubber in it! Isn't this a sad thing? I would have had a hard time accepting an allergy for something that gives me so much pleasure (but I guess that's me, I'm allergic to a lot of things but live my life as if I'm not, and then I complain that I can't breath properly and that it's itching here and there. Okey, you can call me stupid!) But! Due to the allergy against rubber, my "boss" told me that there's no need for any DT-cards anymore. So suddenly I haven't got any DT-memberships anymore :( But if you would like to buy any of Lissie Design's stamps you have to hurry over to her site before they're all gone!

The challenge in Whiff of Joy this week is to use 'Autumn colours'. Since I'm in a very 'autumn-mood' now-a-days it was a breeze to whip up those colours amongst my papers (they were there from the last project!) *grin*

I have used the beautiful stamp 'Willow with hot chocolate' and I have painted her in using Distress Ink. Designpapers from Doodlebug Design. The border I have made using an old Fiskar-punch. The text stamp is from the very own Lissie Design!
I show you the front twice because on the first one you can see how it looks when it's closed. You can see the paper from the inside through the leaves on the right. This picture shows the card without the easel behind.
The inside.
The back.

For those of you who haven't entered my blog candy, there's still time to do so ;)

Have a great day all of you visiting my blog! I really appreciate all your comments, and I will try to visit all of you who leave some words behind!

Two challenges and an award

I have made a card for my brother who is turning 50 soon. I was looking through Angella's blog and was inspired by her cards made with stamps from hÄnglar & stÄnglar's last kit and she had used autumn colours.
This weeks challenge in A Spoon Full of Sugar is to use Lim's sketch, and since I liked that sketch a lot I really wanted to make a card with it. When I made this card I finally managed to use it!!
Then again, this weeks challenge in ABC Challenge is M for male, so again the challenge fit my card!! (I love it when they do!)

I have used design papers from Doodlebug Design, cardstock from Cardstock, textstamp from Lissie Design, buttons from my old "button-jar". The image is coloured with Distress Ink.

Inside. I'll put a personalized tag in the clip on the upper right corner.
The back.
I was so lucky to receive this award from both Caroline and Camilla. My two favourite C's :) *grin* Thank you both!!
I am supposed to give this to six persons so I want to give it to:

Those women has wonderful blogs and make beautiful things. Please pay them a visit now!

Have a nice autumn day all of you! (And don't forget to join my blog candy give away!)

Just Christmas and Birthdaycards #2

Last week, Karin Hoeve started a new challenge blog for those of us who constantly are in lack of Birthdaycards and Christmascards. I really wanted to join the first challenge but the time ran out before I could make anything.

This week I decided to join the second challenge and I have made one birthdaycard and two christmascards! Yay!!
This is my first Christmascard using Karin's sketch. It was a great sketch to work with. I have embossed with gold embossing powder. The stamp is an old one from Panduro. The backing of the red cardstock is gold cardstock. I have put some gold glitterglue all over the designpaper (from Ladybug and friends). On the inside I have used the same dp with glitterglue dots. I have embossed a text in the bottom right corner.Close-up of the embossed text. The back with the same dp and glitterglue dots. A personal stamp with hearts I have stamped on red cardstock and cut out. This is the second Christmascard using Karin's sketch. Again a lot of embossing, in silver this time :) The doodled tree is a stamp from KH Design. The snowflakes is a stamp from Papirgleder. The dp is from Ladybug and friends. The inside. The back. The big snowflake is also from Papirgleder. The birthdaycard I made with Karin's sketch. I have use dp from 3ndypapir (summer collection). The stamp is from Stampavie designed by Rachelle Anne Miller. I have coloured in using Distress Ink. The text stamp is from Aud Design (translates 'Congrats!')Inside. The back.

I am so happy to have fullfilled my goal for birtdaycards and christmascards this week (one of each every week).

I hope you have a nice day, and don't forget to join my blog candy giveaway! :)

Hugs, Kristin :)
