Today I'll show you another friendshipcard. I made this one for a good blogging friend. She has already received it so I can show it here on my blog now :) The cats are old stamps from Panduro. I think they are cute. The swirls and the text (Dear friend) are stamps from Aud Design. The ribbon is from Kort & Godt Hobby and is soon available in my webshop ( The flowers are punched out out from the cardstock and I've put a gem on the middle one and a drop of glitterglue on the other two. The dp is from Scrappers Choice. One of the cats is walking over the insides of the card. I've coloured in all the cats with Distress Ink.
Really simple back.

Today it's Saturday and what a lovely weather we've got!!! The sun is shining from a sky without any clouds. It's quite cold (minus 4) but still there is something springy in the air. I can actually start feeling the pollen coming now. My nose is itching already :) Very promising as I am using allergy medicine already :(
Tomorrow I'll show you a picture of my little puppy Frøya. She has already grown a bit since we got her. She loves to fight with our older dog and it is amazing how much nose those two dogs can make! When they calm down and fall asleep it's like I can hear the silence.
Have a nice day everyone!

Hugs, Kristin :)

This is a card I made at the same time as the card I showed you yesterday. It is great to use the same dp and stash on several cards when I have them out.

I have used this really cute goat stamp from Whiff of Joy. The swirl and the text are stamps from Aud Design, flower from Prima and gem from Doodlebug Design. Punched out hearts.Swirl stamp from Aud Design.

FRIDAY!!! Yippi! That means a slow evening in front of the telly eating homemade pizza. I just love my Fridays and I absolutely hate it when I have to do something else on these evenings. Since I work on Saturdays I just need to have a slow Friday to feel that I have a week-end.

I wish you all a great Friday! Enjoy your day, and week-end!
Hugs, Kristin :)

I've made a friendshipcard using one of Whiff of Joy's beautiful stamps. The text stamp is from Aud Design, and it says "100% homemade, just for you!" The designpaper is from Scrappers Choice and the flowers are from Prima. Gem from Doodlebug Design. You can find everything (except the Aud Design stamp) in my web-shop (
On the insides I've decorated with some punched out hearts. The punch is sold in my web-shop :)
The back is decorated with a swirl-stamp from Aud Design. I simply love those stamps!!

It's Thursday today. I will have a day off from work, but I will have a Creative meeting in my shop in the evening, from 6 pm to 10 pm. It's very nice to have people come to the shop and make cards or lay-outs. I pick up new ideas there and get to chat with the ones coming. I am always looking forward to these evenings. I hope the ones coming are having a great time too. :)

Have a nice day everyone!

Hugs, Kristin :)

Christmascard - JCBC #20

Here comes the christmascard I made using Gry-Heidi's sketch on JCBC this week. Please join us with a card :) The sketch is really nice to work with.

I chose to make another criss-cross card. I like these cards a lot and find them easy to make.
I've used an image from a friend of mine. I don't know who made the stamp, but I sure like it a lot. The snowflakes are buttons from my stash, and the ribbon and lace are also from that big pile of stash. Paper from DCWV. On the insert I've used a text stamp from Norsk Stempelblad ("Good christmas hugs")
And this is the back.

Wednesday morning! It's great that the week has started nice and slow. I hope you all are doing good where you are.

I remind you that if you pop over to my shop,, I have started a big sale there now. I'll give you 40% off on all stamps designed by Rachelle Anne Miller!! And you can also find a lot of other goodies on sale!
Have a great day!
Hugs, Kristin :)

From Heather I received this sweet award (thank you very much, dear!).

I'll pass it on to Heidi, Vanessa, Torill, Rosette and Dawn. Your comments on my blog means a lot to me so you deserve this award. Thank you, ladies!

Thanks for looking. Please visit again soon :)

Whiff of Joy Guest Designer Call

Do you like Whiff of Joy's stamps? I simply love them. I have a lot of those cute stamps and I would love to have them all.

Katharina Freier who owns the Whiff of Joy shop would love to have another guest designer on her team and now you can have a chance to be that lucky one!! I will sure try to be one of her designers for a while, but I guess that there are so many talented card makers out there that my simple card wont have a chance. But I still will give it a go!!

We have to follow a sketch made by Katharina, and you can find that sketch on Whiff of Joy Challenges' blog. I have used one of the first stamps from Whiff of Joy, one I still cherish a lot. Apart for from the stamp from Whiff of Joy I've used a text stamp from Panduro (God jul) and a circular postal stamp from Papirloftet (I embossed this one). Paper from DCWV. I used a Fiskars border punch to make that lovely edge on the red paper.
Insides with punched out hearts on the left and just a stripe of the dp on the right.
Simple back.

Now I have to cross my fingers for me being the lucky one becoming one of Katharina's Guest Designers.

I have started a big sale in my webshop now. You can have upto 40% off on some goodies, e.g. Rachelle Anne Miller stamps. Look here:

Have a great day everyone!

Birthdaycard - JCBC #20

Yepp, I'm back again! And today I'll show you a birthdaycard I've made using Gry-Heidi's fabulous sketch. You can find it if you pop over to JCBC's blog, and I'll really recommend you to join us either with a birthdaycard or a christmascard or maybe both!!! You know, it might sound strange to make a christmascard in February, but I am soooo happy I'm doing it anyway, 'cause when December comes I will have a heap of them in a wizz :)

But I'll show you a birthdaycard now (haven't finished the christmascard yet).

I have used a cute image sent to me by sweet Karin (thank you, dear!) I have used colour pencils this time. The text is a stamp from Aud Design. Unfortunately it turned out to be not straight on the edge there :( Flowers from Prima, with some halfpearls from my stash and some glitterglue on. Paper from Doodlebug Design, ribbon from Panduro and lace from Kort&Godt Hobby.

The insert card is made simple just with some ribbons on top. I've used staples to stick them to the paper and then I've put some glitterglue on to cover the staples.
The back.

Monday morning blues. Today is the first day for me with our new puppy here at work. She is still to little to be alone with our other dog at home. I just hope she will calm down when she has examined everything here.

Have a great day!
Hugs, Kristin :)

Just Christmas and Birthdaycards #19

This week it has been my sketch on JCBC. I am really late posting my cards, but it has just been to busy here for me to sit down in front of my computer.
I have used a Magnolia stamp for the birthdaycard this week. The text is a stamp from Else Irene Mehling, I have embossed it with white powder. Papers from DCWV. The cupcake and balloon stamp is from Whisper's (I think). I've used Distress Ink to colour the image.
Retroflower punch on the left side. Fiskars border punch on the left. And a KaJinker gem. I know, really poor picture, but you can see it is a really simple back.

This is my christmascard which you can see on JCBC's blog. The image is a stamp from Stampavie designed by Sarah Kay. The text is a stamp from Ditten & Datten. I have coloured in using Distress Ink. On the text I have used a lot of glitter glue and some gems. Papers from American Crafts. Ribbon from Panduro.

Insides with punched out hearts on the left. On the right I have decorated the white circle with some swirls from Stempelglede.

And again a simple back.

Now I have showed you my cards for this week's challenge on JCBC, but tomorrow there's a new challenge over there already. I hope you will join us there next week as well.

Have a nice Sunday everyone!

Hugs, Kristin :)

This is a card made for a customer. She wanted a card for a man turning 70 and she came with a couple of photos of the man and his wife. I tried to make the card so it goes well with the photos.

It is supposed to look like a gate you can open to go into the 'castle'. The sign on the door says 'Here lives the birthdayboy' (I can't find a better English word for translating the Norwegian word Jubilant) :)
You can open the gate by pulling a 'lever' on the right side of the lock. I made some hinges to make it more like a gate. The two pictures I received from my customer was one of the birthdayboy in a bed on an old hotel somewhere, with a crown on his head. The second one was of his wife. I cut out the wife's head on this picture and glued it on to the frame above the man's head in the first photo.

I have stamped a crown all over the brown designpaper, and on the white papers. This to go more along with the 'theme' being on a castle. I used QK-alphabet letters to write his name and how old he is.

Really simple back, just the hinges and my personal stamp.

The days are flying by without much happening. The little puppy makes us have to slow down a bit. Well, my husband and sons are out skiing today. I'm staying home with the two dogs. I'm not getting much done.

I have actually tidied up almost all my mounted stamps. I have ripped off the rubber and put some EZ-mount on instead. Now I can put them in some binders and that will make me able to find the stamps easier. I was tired of having to search through all my mounted stamps before I found the one I needed. I guess some of you might be shocked that I 'ruined' my stamps like this, but the fact is that I bought my stamps for the image not the wooden block. Some of the stamps get better without the wooden block, but most of them are just as good.
Have a great Wednesday!
Kristin :)

This is a card I made for my husband for Valentine. After I gave him this he gave me some roses :)

The motif is a stamp from hÄnglar & stÄnglar. I have coloured in using Distress Ink. The hearts on the background is a stamp from Aud Design, the same with the text stamp as well. I have put some Icicle glitter glue in the hearts. The paper is from Scrappers Choice. I've punched out some hearts from the same dp as on front to decorate the insides.

Really simple back.

It's snowing outside. My boys are off from school the whole week due to winterholidays. I have decided to take the whole week off as well. This way it's easier to incorporate the new family member in our daily life. Next week I'll have to bring the puppy to work to make sure she'll be alright.
Thanks for looking!
Hugs, Kristin :)

Say hello... Frøya! She is a two months old Siberian Husky, and she is our new member of the family. She is really cute, and already she is become used to her new family. It seems like she is satisfied with her new life, and even though she is small she is not afraid to bark at our 'old' dog. The two of them are playing a lot, but sometimes it is a bit rough play for the little one. Even though Ranja is the oldest one she is not to hard on Frøya. She lets her chew her goodie-bone, but of course she is quick to take it back when Frøya leaves it for a second.

I haven't had the time to finish up a lot of cards lately due to this little lady entering our lives. But I did finish some cards on Friday, and I'll show them to you soon. I also have some cards for this weeks challenge over at Just Christmas and Birthdaycards to show you. I made the sketch this week, so it would be fun if you popped over and gave it a try!! :)

Just Christmas and Birthdaycards #18

It's time for a new sketch over at JCBC today. And Amanda has made a great sketch. I had a ball working with it because it was easy to put on the details.

The birthdaycard is made with an image an text from Toves Design. I received both from Hege-Annie (Tusen takk, vennen!). The boy is coloured in using pencils, and the text with Distress Ink. The paper is bought at Nille (a supercheap store with everything you don't need :)). Flower from Prima, and the gem is a Ka-Jinker embellishment. I've used a Fiskars border punch to make the lower edge. Insides. Text stamp from Kort i hodet.
The back.

The christmascard is made with an image from Magnolia. I have had this image coloured in since I received the christmas-kit from Magnolia before christmas some time. The text is a stamp from Norsk Stempelblad. I have embossed it in black.

Insides. With punched out hearts.

Simple back.

Today it is really, really cold outside. It is minus 14,5 degrees Celsius!!!! And the sun is shining from a sky without any clouds. It is soooo pretty out there. I hope I wont have any trouble starting my car now because in this weather I don't want to be outside more than neccessary. When my boys went to school they had to dress with wool on the inner layer, then some ordinary clothes and then the outer jacket and pants, and of course hat and mittens/gloves.

I hope you all will have a great start of the new week. Why not join the sketch challenge over at JCBC this week since you will have a great time working with it :) ?!!

Enjoy your day!
Hugs, Kristin :)

I took all these photos on a trip around my neighbourhood. I hope you'll enjoy them!

Have a great Sunday!

Mother and child-class

On Wednesday I had a class for six girls aged 10/11 and their mothers. It turned out to be a fun class. It seemed like hardly any of the mothers had made a lot of cards before, but they had just done a bit of papercrafts and liked that. All of the 'students' were eager to make the cards I had prepared and I think it is such fun when I have people like this around me. I love my work!

The theme for the class was children's birthdaycards, both for girls and boys.
This is the girly card. I used a girl stamp from Whiff of Joy, and a calendar stamp from Papirdesign on the front. I wanted to make a different type of card than the typical 6"x6", so I did this gatefold type instead. To close the card I put a strip of paper around it and decorated it with a textstamp from Ditten & Datten. Alle papers and stamps are available in my shop, .

I decorated the insides with a textstamp from KH Design, and some punched out flowers.

Really simple back. To give the 'students' a chance to write their names on the back I made something on my computer to look like my personal stamp.

This is the boyish card. Again I wanted to make something different, and I ended up with a criss-cross-card. That's a fun card to make and it doesn't need a lot of stash on to look exciting and special. I used two of the newest stamps from Whiff of Joy and which I now sell in my shop. The text stamp is from KH Design.

This is the tag, with a text stamp from KH Design.

Simple back.

Today we have more snow coming. It's been snowing for three days now! I am kind of tired of it. It is cold still (minus 4 degrees Celsius) so the snow is very light and easy to handle. But it does make it more difficult to drive, and since I just can't stay at home I have to use my car. To get to our house we have to drive up a curvy and narrow road. If we meet someone walking there or another car coming down we have to stop and then I have hard time to start driving again. It normally ends up with me having to reverse the car to the bottom of the hill. *shoot* And with the snow on top of the ice the car has trouble with driving forward because the tiers wont get a grip. Back again! Sick and tired of the snow and the winter!!!
But by all means it is beautiful when it all white here! And the kids have fun playing outside. And my husband loves to take our dog go skiing. The dog loves to pull someone while she has a ball running faster and faster!

Have a great Saturday!

Hugs, Kristin :)
