Sarah Kay-card and an award - Premio Dardos

This is a card I made at the same time as I made yesterday's card (hence the same paper and cardstock). I have had this image coloured in for quite a while and since I used this colour on the paper the image fit right in here.

Also here I have doodled some swirls around the flowers, and some lines around the image. The text is a stamp from Aud Design.Same insides as on last card, with a butterfly cut out using a punch from Whale-of-a-Punch. I've put some glitterglue on the wings and the body.

Really, really poor picture which is totally out of focus. This is the back of the card.

I received this award from Mada. Thank you very much, dear! It means a lot to me!!

Doodle-doo with glitter on

I'm almost always drawing some false stitches on my cards. Specially around the images and/or around the design-papers.

This week's challenge on Penny Black Saturday Challenge is "Doodling" and then I just had to make an entry.
I am almost always putting some glitter on my cards. Either on details on the image or on the text. Since ABC Challenge is having a challenge called "G for glitter" this week I am entering the card there as well.

I have used this cute hen-stamp from Penny Black. She is sending an sms to someone saying "Just want to say hello!" I have coloured her with Distress Ink and the text is embossed with white powder with glitter (it doesn't show in the photo but it does in real life!). The doodling-challenge is covered with the white swirles around the flowers from Prima, and with the lines around the image and the designpaper. The paper is from Papirdesign. Inside I have put a cut out butterfly. I have put some glitter on the wings.
There's nothing wrong with your sight, the picture is slightly out of focus. Sorry!

Today I woke up to more snow coming down from above. I felt like cursing, but I didn't!!! Still, I am sick and tired of the snow right now. I just dont' understand why it's neccessary with all the snow. A little-bit is okey, but now we have heaps to get rid of before spring can show it's beauty for us.

I hope you are doing better than me. Enjoy your week-end.

Blog candy for hÄnglar-fans **NOW CLOSED**

I am one of the thousands of hÄnglar & stÄnglar fans, and I am a lucky lady since I actually can buy them!!! I have just received the last kit from them and I have fallen in love with most of them.

I have understood that a lot of you out there in blogland can't get hold of any stamps since the shop is only selling to Sweden and Norway. That's why I have made this little blog candy.

If you like hÄnglar & stÄnglar but can't buy them yourself, well now you have the chance to win two full sets of stamped images from the last kit. You get what you see on the picture. I will not let this giveaway run forever, so if you want to win please leave a comment on this posting before Sunday 29th of March, 18:00 (6 pm) CET. I'll announce the winner shortly after that.
Good luck! :)

Clean and simple again

This is another entry for Sukkersøtt's Clean and simple challenge.

I had to make some quick cards for different reasons and I had these two images from the last hÄnglar-kit already coloured in so then I used them.

I have used paper from Sandylion, and Bazzill corduroy cardstock. I've put some glitter on the girl and the text. This is my second card. Using the same dp and cardstock, but have also put in a white Bazzill Bling. Glitter one this card as well. No embellies on the cards. It's really clean and simple. The size of the cards is approx. 4"x4" or 10 cm x 10 cm.

Inside is the same on both the cards. With punched out butterflies.

And a really simple back (both the cards look the same).

Have a great day everybody.

The sun is shining and I'm in a good mood. I have to work on a card order again. This one will bring me a lot of work, but it I hope it will be fun.
Don't forget my blog candy that is coming up soon!
Hugs, Kristin :)

Award and some thoughts...

I received this award from Hege-Annie last week (Tusen takk, vennen!). It always is sooo nice to be honoured with an award and it makes my day.

I want to give this award to all my visitors. Thank you for visiting, and special thanks to those of you who have left me a comment every now and then. I love all the feedback I get.

I can see on my stat-counter that I have a lot of visitors, and I am so happy for everyone looking at my creations. Still I can also see that I don't get the same amount of comments so obviously there are some of you just peeking through my blog and not taking the time to write something.

I do understand that sometimes you just don't feel like writing anything, cause maybe you don't like what you see here, or maybe you are to tired to write, or maybe you are just to busy.... There can be thousands of reasons not to write a comment. And I am not saying that I am any better! I have visited a lot of blogs without leaving any sign of how much I actually liked that blog.

I don't expect you to leave a comment every time you visit, but it sure would be nice if you gave me a sign that you've been here once in a while. If you don't have anything special to say, just say HI!

Thank you for reading my blog! I really appreciated you taking your time to do so!

Hugs, Kristin :)

Sukkersøtt #33

I haven't entered a card to a Sukkersøtt challenge for a long time now. But finally I found a challenge that I just couldn't resist and that fit in with my style quite well. I'm talking about the 'Clean and simple' challenge!

I must appologize for poor pictures. The colours are more vivid in real life, especially the greens and pinks.

I have used last week's sketch on JCBC (#23). The image is one of the cutest Penny Black images I know of. I've coloured it with a mix of Twinkling H20 and Distress Ink, and I've put some glitter on top. The paper is from Treehouse Memories. I've cut out one of the flowers and put on top of the ribbon. I used a white gelpen to write the text. On the insides I've decorated with some more cut out flowers. I've made som stippled lines around.
I used a retro flower punch to punch out two of the flowers from the paper and put them on the back.

Today's Wednesday and what we in Norway have learned to know as "little Saturday" (after a TV programm some years ago). I have learned to appreciate this day because I have a day off tomorrow :) And my boys have no activities after school this day so we can just relax at home.
I hope you all will have a great day! Take care!
Hugs, Kristin :)
PS! I'm planning a teeny tiny blog candy soon, so please come back and check it out one of these days :)

JCBC #24 and Whiff of Joy - Challenge #22

Yess! Finally I have had the time to make a card for Whiff of Joy's Green challenge. And I have used a stamp from Whiff of Joy this time!! ;) *hehehe* (look at my last card if you don't understand this "joke").

I have used Tanja's sketch on the JCBC's blog this week. It's really great to work with so I would recommend you to join us with a card. Also this week we have a great prize for a lucky winner :)

Tomorrow my brother-in-law turns 50. (Hurra for Bjørn!!) This card my husband will give him this week-end when he will go to his birthday-party. I have used papers from Treehouse Memories. The white flower is punched out from the paper. I have written the text with a white gelpen. Insides. On the top page I have written the text which translates "One year older, but still young in body and soul". I think that is fitting well with the young boy-image on the front :)
The back with my personal stamp and some punched out flowers.
I still haven't showed you my birthdaycard made with last week's sketch on JCBC, but I'll do tomorrow. I haven't had the time to make a lot of cards lately, but now I have more orders to make so I just have to be creative again. :)

Have a great day everyone! Thanks for visiting today! I love all the comments you are leaving for me, and a do read all of them. Unfortunately I'm not as good as you to leave comments when I visit your blogs, but please be assured that I do visit my visitors every now and then. And I'll try to be better at leaving comments myself :)

Hugs, Kristin :)

Another birthdaycard. This is for my brother who had his birthday yesterday.

I have made a really simple, green card. First I had planned to enter the card into the Whiff of Joy challenges' theme Green this week. But I didn't remember which challenge blog who had this challenge and so I used a wrong image. So, then I thought of entering the card into A Spoon Full of Sugar's "Little Gem" challenge, and ABC challenge's "F is for Flower". I have already entered with one card on both challenges but I'll give it another go :)

This is the front, with a gem in the biggest flower. It looks black on this picture, but it is white/neutral. The letters are a gift. All the papers from Treehouse Memories, also the flowers (cut out). Inside, with an image from Cuddly Buddly. The 'Bror' (brother) stamp is from Papirgleder. "Bursdagsklem!" (birthdayhug!) is a clearstamp from Norsk Stempelblad.
This photo is really pale. The paper has the same colour as on the two other photos.

I will have a relaxed Friday evening today. I'll make my homemade pizza and share it with my boys and either read a book or look at something on the telly. My dear husband has decided to go skiing across Hardangervidda with some buddies. He will be back on Sunday night. (It's quite typical males to have this urge to show that they still are males even though they have turned 40!)

Have a great day. Thanks for looking :)
Hugs, Kristin :)

Wedding card

I was asked by a customer to make a wedding card for a couple. She wanted something special, so I suggested that I could make this folded card. She hasn't collected it yet, but hopefully she'll like it.

I want to enter this card to this week's challenge on A Spoon Full of Sugar. The theme is 'Little Gem'. I have put a gem on the front, and in the card (hearts and a sticker border with gems). And since this week's challenge on ABC challenges is 'F for flower' and I have three of them on the front, I want to enter the card there as well.

This is the front. The tag is one I got from Heather. The flowers are from Prima, bradframes from Kort & Godt Hobby (you can find them in my shop). Paper from Scrappers Choice.
This is how the card looks like when you lay it flat on the table.

When you open the card this is what it looks like.
On the upper left square I have put a ribbon and a text which I have embossed. The text translates: The wedding bells are ringing, and tells us about happiness/luck.
On the upper right I have to triangels. The first is decorated with two hearts punched out with QK. The second is decorated with embossed gold rings.
Lower left. Another triangel with the wedding rings again. And a triangel with the monogram of the wedding couple.
On the lower right square I have put a sticker with some gems on and two red gem hearts.
This is the back. I didn't have my personal stamp nearby (it was at home) and then I had to make a more simple back.

We are having a really nice day here today. The sun is shining and it is almost 5 degrees Celsius outside. The snow is melting and I can see the snow piles disappering day by day. Yuhuu! Spring is around the corner I can feel!

I have to take Frøya to the vet today. I think she has some troubles urinating so I want to check her out. Last week we found worms in her tummy, but hopefully she's got rid of them now.

Right now my two sweet dogs are sleeping in the sun close to each other. They love to lay in the sun, inside. Warm and cozy! They are polardogs with really thick fur, but they love the heat as well. Strange animals!

Hope you all are doing well. Have a great day where you are. Thanks for visiting :)

Scrapbook to a teacher

My youngest son's teacher turned 60 yesterday. I was asked to help collect drawings from all the kids in a scrapbook to give to her. I made a front and a back as well. This is how it turned out :)

Front. The picture is one I took on the first day of school last autumn. This is the back, with regards from her class.
This is a sample of one of the pages from a girl in the class.

This is what my son made for his teacher. Can you tell he has been playing with my stamps?
I wasn't there to give the book to the teacher, but it was given yesterday. I think she liked it :)

I have one more card on my orderlist. It's a wedding card. I haven't made a lot of them so I am always a bit scared to make something neither the receivers nor my customer like.

Have a great day!
Hugs, Kristin :)

Christmascard - JCBC #23

New week, and new sketch on JCBC's blog. This time it's me who's made the sketch. Please pop over and join us with either a birthdaycard, a christmascard or maybe you'll have the energy to make both!?!?

Kort og godt, my shop!!! has donated a beautiful Whiff of Joy stamp as a prize for one lucky winner this week. So what are you waiting for; Join us now!!

I've made a christmascard this week using an image designed by Rachelle Anne Miller. This bear is really cute. I had some difficulties colouring it, but this is how it turned out. I've put some glitterglue on.
I've used dps from DCWV. Textstamp from Norsk Stempelblad which I have embossed in black.
Insides with punched out hearts. Same dp as on front. I've doodeled around the edges on the white paper.
Back with same dp as on front.
I've been working on another project so I didn't have much time to make this card. I really wasn't in for finding embellishment so it ended with nothing at all.

I hope you all will have a great Monday. Enjoy your brand new week!!

B is for 'bord'

Petunia has started great challenge on her blog which is "ABC in word and pictures" or "ABC i ord og bilder" as it is called in Norwegian. The challenge is built upon Denise Nesbitt's "ABC Wednesday".

This week's letter is B.

B is for, okey, now it's time for you to learn some Norwegian: "Table" is "Bord" in my language.

And why have I chosen "Bord"?

Because we have this enormous wooden table that had a lot of spots and marks on from years of wear and tear. For a long time we have talked about doing something about it, and suddenly, on Saturday my husband just did it!! He scrubbed and scrubbed, and now the table is soooo nice it's almost shining. The picture is taken before the oil he put on top at the end had dried so the chairs are not put back in place.

If you want to join in the fun you can go over to Petunia's blog.

A customer called me one day and asked me if I could make a card for a friend of her. This male-friend is turning 70, he was a professor in botanic, and he is a fit man. I have made this card for him.

Since he was a professor in botanic I thought a green card would be nice. And since the challenge on Stamp something this week is Green something I'll try my luck over there. I have used Bazzill Corduroy as the base of the card, and the design paper is from Papirdesign. The letters are punched out using a QuicKutz alphabet called Studio (I think). Above and below the numbers I have stamped a crown using a Magnolia stamp. This is how it looks when you open the card. I think this Penny Black cat is perfect for this birthdaycard. I've used Distress Ink to colour it. The text stamp is from Norsk Stempelblad, I've embossed it in black.
The back was made simple.

Friday again!! Hurray!! My sons are having a friend visiting tonight for a sleepover. The friend is living three/four houses down the street, but it's really special to have him over like this.
I woke up last night around 2.30 am and my dogs were having a party in our living room. Normally our oldest dog is really tired and sleeps all night. But the youngest one is not so eager on sleeping all night yet. She goes around and collects things, like my shoes, my son's cap, or a mitten, or whatever is interesting for her. She hasn't chewed on things enough to ruin anything yet, lucky for us. Tonight she obviously found the guinneapig's things very good to chew on. We found a box with two chewingbars in pieces on the floor, and even our older dog thought this tasted yummy. They argued about who should hold the wooden stick in the middle of the chewingbar and that's when they woke me up. I had to "throw" the two dogs out in the snow on our terrace so I could clean up a bit before I let them in and we all could go to sleep again. Yeah! It's fun having dogs!! :)
Well, I am a bit tired today, but since it's Friday I guess it's okey. Tomorrow I can sleep in a bit, I hope!
I wish you all a great day.
Hugs, Kristin :)

Christmascard - JCBC #22

Another christmascard for the JCBC blog. I love the sketch Linda made for us to use this week.

I have used a stamp from Stampavie. I think this little mouse designed by Rachelle Anne Miller is cute. The candycane button's from my stash. I've embossed the red scalloped background with a stamp from Stempelglede. The letters are made using QK-alphabet Metro skinni mini. This alphabet has proven to be very versatile since it's so small, and I've used it a lot. The paper's from DCWV. Punched out hearts on the insides, and I've also doodle a frame with hearts (oops, now I see that I've forgotten to colour one of the doodled hearts!)
Simple back.

If you haven't joined any of Just Christmas and Birthdaycards challenges yet I would recommend you to do so. We have great prizes to give-away to random winners every week. You can join us with one birthdaycard, one christmascard or one of each using the sketch of the week. So come on and join us and have some great fun :)

I received this award from Hege-Annie last week (Tusen, tusen takk, kjære deg!). I've forgotten to show it to you, but here it is:

Since I've already received it I will this time give it to all my blogging friends. You all deserve it and I wouldn't have had this blog without you and your visits. Thank you!!

Well, I hope you all will have a great day. My day will be filled with even more snow coming down from above. Now we have so much snow in our neighbourhood that the garbagetruck has had some troubles coming around to pick up our garbage. We have to carry our garbage to the nearest road for the truck to collect it. That's fun. Why do we pay for this service or the service of getting rid of the snow in the streets??? I NEED SPRING NOW!!!!

Bye for now.

Hugs, Kristin :)

With deepest sympathy

Some cards are harder to make, both mentally and literally. When it came to making a card for someone who has lost a very dear person I certainly had a hard time. My mother called me on Saturday to tell me that one of my oldest cousins, but still only 51 y.o., died the very same morning. His heart suddenly stopped even though he wasn't obese or sick or something like that.

I have made two "With deepest sympathy" cards. One for my cousin's wife and children, and one for my aunt and her family. I have sent the cards to my mum for her to give to them.

First card with a lily stamp from Anita's. I've coloured in using Twinkling H20. Paper from DCWV. Ribbon from stash. I've embossed the text, stamp from Ditten & Datten. Insides.
The back.

The second card has the same lay-out but different cardstock and paper (from DCWV). Even same image. Ribbon from stash. Text is embossed in white.

Today it's only four more working days until it's week-end again. :) I hope spring is around the corner soon, but it doesn't seem like it's close by when I see out of my window. We have loads of snow everywhere. I just cross my fingers that it all will be gone by our constitution day, May 17.
