The good life

I have chosen a picture of my happy family this week. For me all these men and dogs are the GOOD LIFE (det GODE LIV). I love them a lot and can't do without them more than a couple of days. I love what we do together, how we can have fun together, how we stand up for each other, that we can talk about everything with eachother.
Have a good day everyone.

Just Christmas and Birthdaycards #28

Wow, I am late posting this card!!! I should have posted it on Monday, but my card wasn't finished then. Sorry for the delay!

This is a birthdaycard for my Welsh sister-in-law. She turns 40 on Sunday. I hope she doesn't look here in my blog before then :)

I have used two Magnolia stamps for the image. The girl was in a blog candy from Carmen (thank you!), the log she is sitting on is from Magnolia's autumn-kit. The lace is from my stash. It didn't turn out well to use the same dp on the border punched paper as on the background. All dps from DCWV. I have used white acrylic paint behind the girl. The letters and numbers are QuicKutz. Half-pearls from stash. Insides with text from Else Irene Mehling, butterfly and frame-piece from my Bella Brush stamp-set.
On the back I have used the dps behind my personal stamp.

Wednesday already. My eldest son always groan when I wake him up on Wednesday mornings. He is not happy with the schooldays since they've only got boring things to do on Wednesdays. :) I like Wednesdays since I've got a day off on Thursdays :)
Have a great Wednesday wherever you are!
Hugs, Kristin :)

Just want to show you some pictures of my loved ones.

This is my eldest son laying on the sofa reading a book and having a relaxed morning. I took this picture when we went to the cabin during Easter. My youngest son has borrowed my old camera and is taking a picture of me while I'm taking a picture of him :) He is sitting in the sun coming in from the window.
This is my oldest furry friend. She is outside the cabin last Easter. She really looks like a wolf in this picture. She is a beauty!!
This is my youngest furry friend. She is soooo cute. She is laying in my arms while my husband is borrowing my camera to take this picture.
This is a picture taken a while ago. The dogs were laying on the floor really close and in the sun coming in from the window. I think they look so cute together like this. They really melt my heart when they do this. Even though they are not mother and daughter it seems like the oldest dog is taking care of the little one.
Hope you all are doing well. I am a bit absent minded know. Don't know why, but it seems like I am tired all the time. I guess the pollenallergy is hard for my old body. Yesterday I went to bed 22.15 and fell at sleep almost at once. When I woke up at 6 a.m. this morning I was still tired. I guess I have to go to bed early tonight as well!

Hugs, Kristin :)

Birthdaycard - JCBC #25

I have used Simone's sketch for JCBC's challenge #25 to make this card. (I have a personal goal to make both a christmascard and a birthdaycard of all the sketches on JCBC, but since I have been a bit to busy lately I haven't had the time to make more than one card of some of the sketches. But I'll try to use the sketches little by little to complete my collection.)

Image by Cuddly Buddly (received from Dorte in a swap!). Text by Norsk Stempelblad, embossed in black. All papers from DCWV. Coloured the image using Distress Ink. Flowers, brad, lace and gems from stash. Finished off using glitter glue on the image, on top of the lace and in the middle of the flower.
The card is for a customer. The receiver of the card is a lady turning 80 next week.
Same papers on the back as on the front.

Have a great Sunday everyone! We've had a beautiful day here. The sun has been shining and my husband and I have washed our car. Now it's shining, both inside and outside! Lovely!
Hugs, Kristin :)

Birthdaycard - JCBC #27

A friend of mine is turning 40 and we want to give him a gift certificate. I have made a folder/pocket card to put the certificate in. On the front I have used this week's sketch over on the JCBC blog. Some small changes but I hope you can still see the sketch :)

Image from Penny Black, letters and number from unknown (I won them in a blog candy giveaway from Karin). The swirl in the corner is a stamp from Making Memories I think. Papers from Papirdesign. Insides with the tag and the certificate in the folded pocket. I really am hopeless at remembering the producers today so I can't tell you right now who's made the number-stamps on the lower part of the card. The calendar stamp is from Norsk Stempelblad.
The insides without the tag and the gift certificate in the pocket. Now you can see that I've stamped some text there.
The tag.
The back of the card.

I've been busy doing nothing special lately. I just haven't had the time to join any challenges or made any cards.... or I've made this card and a card I'll show you tomorrow.
If you would like to join another challenge you should try Friday Sketchers this week. My company, Kort og godt, is sponsoring the prize there this week so go check it out now. Kristine has made a beautiful sketch for everyone to follow.

Angels after Easter

This is my christmascard using Janina's beautiful sketch on Just Christmas and Birthdaycard's challenge this week. Check out the other ladies' lovely work as well. And we would be happy if you could join us with a card :)

The happy angel image is one I got from a crafting friend. I have embossed the red and green papers using my new Swiss Dot-folder for my Cuttlebug. I just love these dots! Stars, fiber and lace from stash. Insides, with stamps from Stempelglede (both text and corners).
Really simple back. I was thinking maybe I should embosse the green paper but didn't take the time to do so. Now I regret because it turned out so boring.

Easter is over and tomorrow I have to go back to work *sigh*

Enjoy your day and your new week!
Kristin :)

Sarah Kay-card again :)

Mada's sketch for Just Christmas and Birthdaycards' challenge this week is beautiful. It's a breeze to work with. I hadn't had the time to do my card until tonight and I made it in no time at all. No embellishment on this one, but I think the paper is so nice that I didn't want to cover it up more than neccessary.

I had this image already coloured and wanted to use it on this birthdaycard. Insides.

Phew! Now I am ready to go pack for the trip tomorrow!
Thanks for looking!
Hugs, Kristin :)

Gold, beige and brown birthdaycard

A customer wanted me to make a birthdaycard for a lady turning 40 and she had in mind something with the colours chocolatebrown, gold/golden and off-white. She also wanted the card to be delicate to look at.

This is what I came up with. I have made the patterned paper myself using my Distress Ink pads, a gold stamp-pad and some stamps from Papirdesign.

The front when it's closed. Insides.
The back.

Tomorrow we'll go to the cabin up in the mountain and I won't be back until Sunday or Monday. It all depends on the weather there. :)

Have a great Easter Holiday! Thanks for visiting my blog :)
Hugs, Kristin :)

These are invitations I made for a customer. They wanted an invitation for the daughter in the house's confirmation celebration. The daughter picked the colours both on the cardstock (Bazzill Bling) and the paper (Autumn Leaves). I have made an invitation quite similar before but in different colours. I have embossed the text and some swirls in gold embossing powder. On the front I have put an punched out heart on 3D-foam.

Here are all 15 of them.

This is the front.
I gave the customers the invitations like this, but....
...this is how they are supposed to be. The text they'll put in themselves, I just made this for them to see how it's going to be.
The back.

Happy Easter everyone. On Thursday my family and I will go to my parents-in-law's cabin up in the mountain. We'll enjoy the snow and hopefully some nice weather as well. I'll put the skis on for the first time this winter, because we have to go for 1500 meters from the car to the cabin. But I must say I look more forward to reading a good book outside the cabin enjoying the sun (if the weather is bad I'll read my book inside :)).

Have a great day!
Hugs, Kristin :)

Another christmascard

This was my christmascard using this week's sketch over at JCBC. Simone had made a great sketch. I was prepared on a struggle because I am no good at working with layers, but I must say it wasn't as hard as I feared. If you you want to give it a try pop over to JCBC's blog now :)

I have used an image from hÄnglar and stÄnglar (I received it in an image-swap!) Papers from American Crafts. Sentence is a stamp from Norsk Stempelblad. Snowflake is a button from my stash. The same goes for the ribbon and the small gems. I've coloured the image with Distress Ink.
Insides. Text is a stamp from Kort i hodet.
The back.

Have a great day.
Kristin :)

Happy Birthday

This is a birthdaycard for a lady turning 50 today. A customer asked me to make a card for her, and she gave me a description of how she would like the card to be. I haven't got a clue whether I hit on the spot, but I do hope she liked it.

I have made the background myself. On aquarelle-paper I have painted with black and red Distress Ink. When that was dry I used the stamps "Bella Brush" from Fancy Pants Designs and stamped in red and black StazOn all over the paper.

This is the front of the card. The text is printed out on aquarelle-paper. It translates "Congratulations, Randi, with the 40...? 45...? No, it can't be possible!?!" I have put a picture of the lady but if you think it's out of focus I can tell you that I have covered it up to make it unrecognizable.

This is how the card looks like when you open it up.

The back of the card.
I must admit that I struggled with the look of this card. It was a challenge. I don't know if my customer liked the card yet. She hasn't given me any feed back. Hopefully she has received it in time to give it today.

I am not feeling to well today. My sinuses are making trouble. We have had a lot of changes in the temperatures lately and then I alway get pains in the sinuses. I hope it won't last long. I have to make 15 invitations for a custumer today so I need to feel better to be able to concentrate.

I am glad that the sun is shining from a blue sky. Lovely springy air. The snow is melting, yuhu!!! and I am plain happy. :)

Have a lovely day everyone.

Hugs, Kristin :)
